Age 18+ and prior professional experience working with infants.

Your certification needs CEUs.
Your clients need newborn skills.

As a postpartum doula, you keep your certification current with continuing education. You also meet families in the newborn weeks, when questions about feeding, sleep and daily care come fast.

Spending your CEU hours on training that does not build those newborn skills costs you twice, in time and in what you can offer clients.

Foundational NCS does both. It is approved through CAPPA and qualifies for 16 continuing education units, and it covers newborn care from head to toe plus the business basics of NCS work. Families love doulas who are also trained NCS.
