You are there for the feeds.
Your role has limits.

As a newborn care specialist or doula, you are often in the room when a baby feeds, and parents look to you for encouragement.

Without a clear grounding in lactation, it is hard to know when an issue is a common one, when the family needs additional support, and where your scope of practice ends.

It's All in the Milk gives you the tools to support and encourage the lactation journey. You learn to identify common issues that may arise during breastfeeding and when to seek additional support, and you see the specific roles and boundaries for newborn care specialists and doulas in lactation support.
