Families name the approach.
You need to know what it means.

Some families come to you with an approach in mind, such as Montessori, RIE, Waldorf or Reggio Emilia. They want a caregiver who can follow their lead.

If you only know the names, it is hard to support that choice, and hard to explain what you do and why.

Respectful Care gives you background, practical understanding and hands-on experience with major elements of these four approaches. It adds a solid introduction to current neuroscience research that supports respectful, relationship-based care, and shows you how to bring it into your work.
