Define your agency's role
Know exactly where your agency fits in an NCS placement, and what both the caregiver and the family expect.
For agency owners and placement teams
For agency owners and placement staff who want to start or strengthen NCS placements. Learn the agency's role, the postpartum caregiver roles and how working with an NCS differs from working with a nanny.

You may already see families asking for Newborn Care Specialists, and you place nannies well. So NCS placements should be easy. Then the differences show up. The roles have similar names but different jobs, families are not sure what they are hiring, and an NCS expects a different kind of partnership from your agency.
Without a clear approach, many agencies hold back and do nothing. Others place an NCS the way they place a nanny, and both the family and the caregiver feel it.
This program gives your agency a clear way in. Much of what you already do in nanny placement carries over, with a few changes and a different approach. The program shows you which changes matter, so you can enter NCS placement with confidence.

Your instructor
Founder, Newborn Care Solutions
Tonya founded Newborn Care Solutions with her husband, Todd, after more than 30 years as a nanny, Newborn Care Specialist and household manager. Her business grew to include education for agencies that place Newborn Care Specialists.
She has spoken for the Association of Premier Nanny Agencies at their annual conference and for nanny agencies nationwide, and served as Co-President of the International Nanny Association from 2018 to 2020.
Our agency took on NCS placements occasionally but didn't have much success until our staff took Newborn Care Solutions' Foundational and Advanced courses. With Tonya's help, we completely transformed our NCS process and have been thrilled by the results. We now get to work with our favorite clients again as they welcome new babies into their families, build NCS teams, and work with the same candidates over and over again.
I can always tell when I'm working with an agency that has had direct guidance from Newborn Care Solutions. They treat me as a true Newborn Care Specialist with all that involves and advocate for my position with families rather than marketing me as just another 'night nanny'. They understand appropriate rates of pay and pay structures for experienced providers, they fight to find me the 'right' clients and they understand the legalities of legal pay dependent on the position's structure! Agency positions through Newborn Care Solutions trained agencies are always at the top of my list!
