You know babies.
Brand new babies are their own world.

You have cared for infants as a nanny, a doula or in daycare. But Newborn Care Specialist work can start when a baby is only a few days old.

If you have not worked much with babies that young, or it has been a few years, it is hard to feel sure about what is normal in how a newborn looks and behaves. That doubt shows on the job.

This bundle pairs our core newborn care training with a focused course on the first six weeks. Foundational gives you in-depth newborn care and the business basics. The First Six Weeks starts with an in-depth look at day one, then covers milestones, reflexes, development, behavior and appearance.

What changes for you

After the course,
you can:

Start working as an NCS

Explain your role, care for a newborn head to toe, and set up contracts, insurance and taxes.

Know the first six weeks

Feel more confident about the milestones, reflexes, development, behavior and appearance of a newborn in the first six weeks.

Notice possible signs early

Recognize possible signs of reflux, tongue tie, food allergies and postpartum mood disorders, and bring up concerns with parents.

Support the whole family

Care for preemies and multiples, and help a postpartum mom recover and feel supported.

What the bundle includes
